Reading a savings estimate

A 'saving' is a difference between two numbers. Whether it means anything depends on the baseline and on what each number covers.

The baseline question

A savings figure is only meaningful against your actual current spend for the same scope. Without a baseline, a comparison to an average is context, not a saving.

The scope must match: same services, same coverage, same VAT basis. A lower number for a smaller scope is not a saving.

One-off vs recurring

Transition, mobilisation or exit costs hit the first year. A recurring annual difference of AED 10,000 with AED 15,000 of one-off costs is negative in year one — check the first-year net figure, not just the recurring one.

How FAHIM presents it

FAHIM labels the gap between your baseline and a historical-average estimate as a provisional difference, and only calls it a qualified potential saving once you confirm the scope and VAT basis match. It is an estimate to investigate, never an achieved or guaranteed saving.
